A subscription to the AMWA Journal is included with membership in the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA). AMWA invites all individuals working professionally as medical communicators to join. This includes medical writers, editors, visual communicators, marketers, health communicators, CME professionals, grant writers, and many more professionals working with the field.

Authors of manuscripts accepted for publication retain copyright in their work but grant to AMWA exclusive worldwide first publication rights and further grant a nonexclusive license for other uses of the manuscript for the duration of their copyright.
